Ippodo Tea x Hiking Patrol

We are proud to share our latest initiative, our first uniform program, developed in partnership with Ippodo Tea, the historic Kyoto tea house established in 1717. Hiking Patrol designed a uniform that honors Ippodo’s centuries-old tea-making tradition while bringing in our focus on practical and considered design.Founded over three centuries ago by Rihei Watanabe, Ippodo was renamed in 1846 when Prince Yamashina, an admirer of its tea, gave it the name “Ippodo,” meaning "preserve one." Ever since, the house has remained devoted to producing tea of the highest quality, continually adapting while staying true to its heritage.
